Top Driving Tips
  1. Even with Mallorca being part of Spain, being an island things are slightly different. This isn't due to the rules as they are the same, drive of the right and follow European laws, but because its away from the mainland the locals have their own driving style and can be slightly more inpatient. The road condtions are still Ok and the sun is constant so its important to keep well hydrated.

At the Airport
  1. The Mallorca Airport was established quite early on and was used as a dock for sea planes before airstrips were the common landing method for planes. Since then it has seen many improvements and today is a very busy airport that is the non German hub for Air Berlin and Air Europa, two powerful regional airlines that service much of Europe. With 20 million or more people a year passing through their doors, this is a busy and fairly large airport. There are 4 terminals, some requiring bus transfer to get to.

Airport Location
  1. The airport is found of the West of the island just south of Palma de Mallorca. Due to the size of the island, you are never more than a couple of hours to any location and more often than not you can reach your destination in under an hour. From the airport, the capital city is really only 10 minutes away and any point on the island is 80 minutes away making it very convenient to have car hire.

Car Hire at the Airport
  1. Being a very popular tourist location the selection of car hire options are vast. You can find the whole selection from the budget local brands, large global companies and all being found either in the airport or in Palma de Mallorca which is still incredibly easy to reach.
