  1. You'll struggle to ever find a more complete city then Barcelona. Cultural importance, fine art, brilliant architecture and world class sport are only starters for a Spanish adventure. Top Driving Tips
  1. The city centre can be difficult for someone not experienced to driving in Spain so stick to the outskirts. As for requirements, 2 warning triangles and a reflective jacket are needed in the car and to be used if you have to stop and get out your car. Like England, the police are on the watch out for drivers using mobile phones and do carry out random Breathalyzer tests.

At the Airport
  1. The airport had a new terminal open in 2009 with every mod-con you would expect to find and was created to handle 55million passengers a year and is all very straight forward.

Airport Location
  1. The airport is just outside of Barcelona city and will take a 20 minute car trip to reach the city centre. Apart from that, you are less than two hour away from France and Andorra and have many of the smaller towns close by.

Car Hire at the Airport
  1. Car hire can be picked up from either a desk in terminal or by shuttle bus which will take you to the local pickup point just minutes away from the main terminal. Dropping off is equally as simple with the main drop offs just by the airport.
