Top Driving Tips
  1. The region has an excellent road network and there are fuel stations appearing at regular intervals. The A2 Motorway is the main transport artery running up the spine of Portugal from north to south and connects Faro to major cities such as Lisbon and Porto, which are 250km and 550km away respectively. The A22 Motorway connects the Algarve regions with southern Spain and nearby Seville.

At the Airport
  1. The airport is very much driven to provide a smooth experience for any tourist. Simple navigation, great design and a streak of modern technology makes for a great travelling experience.

Airport Location
  1. The vast majority of tourists arriving to the Algarve pass through Faro Airport and many take advantage of the large number of budget airlines with scheduled flights to the city. The airport is located 8km South West outside the city centre but still isn't any hassle to reach it. Due to how the Algarve it, most of the popular resorts are deeper into the region so Car Hire really lends a hand.

Car Hire at the Airport
  1. Car Hire companies at Faro airport have their own building separate from the arrivals hall but still only outside the main terminal, should take a matter of minutes to get to.
